Hugh Thomson has led many expeditions to the Peruvian Andes since his first trip to the Vilcabamba in 1982, when he was twenty-one. In 2002, he made headlines around the world when his team discovered the lost Inca site of Cota Coca. Thomson is also an acclaimed filmmaker, having led filming expeditions to Mexico, Mt. Kilimanjaro, and the Himalayas.
