This book told a lot about the time of Africa during decolonizaiton. It showed the influence of the Europeans and how the Africans wanted to take back their land and remember the old ways. The stories in here touched me deeply.

This was an honors history class titled Africa in Rebellion. We mostly had readings from books such as this telling of Africa during the period of decolonization.

Yes, the content of the book definitely did have a great impact on my understanding of the material that was presented to me and my peers in this course. I feel that if I had not read this book, I would not have been able to follow along very well with the classroom discussions. However, I read the book so I was okay.

I feel like this book gave great insight into the nature of humanity and its resilience. Even though terrible things happened, people were still able to accomplish great things. It was very moving.

I like how Okonkwo takes charge of the boy, Ikemefuna, and finds an ideal son in him.

It was really easy to understand and if you just really read it thorugh everything it helped so much! I got an A because of this book!
