NATIVE VOICES is a book of poetry written out of a traditional African perspective. The voices of our loved ones who have passed on (Ancestors) are the words for the living. These words constitute the centerpiece of our human existence. Knowing the past is crucial to dealing with the future. The first part of this book addresses this belief. A traditional maxim says when the "frog" falls into a hole, the rest in line must take notice. Have we learned from the events of the past so that we do not fall into a hole? The second part of the book deals with the appreciation of the sentimental gifts of nature.
