I couldn't really suggest any improvements for this book. It is very thorough and detailed. However, for a general Human Physiology class it was too in-depth.read more
The format. The text was well organized and extremely thorough. However, it was in too great of detail for a general Human Physiology class.
I didn't really find a part that was not helpful.read more
I felt that the book was well organized and simple to understand.
Great book. Comprehensive, well organized, and extremely detailed. Even includes chapters on things like deep-sea physiology (for scuba divers and such). It is perhaps overly detailed in terms of extensive molecular and cellular physiology for what one needs in general practice, but it is great for those just beginning medical studies (I used it in my first semester of Physician Assistant school), who need to learn the fundamentals.read more
Used for my graduate level Medical Physiology course in my first semester of Physician Assistant Masters program. Read the book cover to cover over the semester, with the exception of a few chapters. Couldn't have gotten through the course without it.
The physiology of the body as it pertains to medical research and application.read more
I feel this book was adequate for the subject I was studying. It started with cellular physiology and then applied to different body systems.
The book has a very good overview of all of the concepts in physiology. It more or less covers everything you need which makes it a good reference book.read more
The book could be written in a more reader friendly format
I learned a lot about transmission lines and antennas. The book does a nice job explaining these topics.read more
There is nothing I woulc change about it. It is setup very nicely and the problems correspond to the reading.
The information in this book is tremendous. This book helps to breakdown complex material maintaining the integrity of the complex process while simultaneously enhancing understanding.read more
That each body process, as complex as it is, can be taught in a manner that can be easily understood. The authors of this book went to great lengths to include diagrams to help the reader understand the text better. This helps those of us who remember better by seeing the process.
