An inspiration to anyone who might think she or he is "too old" for any activity, on the mission field or at home. A 70-year-old widow decided there must be more to life than eating & sleeping, watching TV, & remembering to take her blood pressure pills. She confronted a missionary, "Jungle Jim", & volunteered to help his wife teach kids in the foreign field. She had charge of two pre-school girls whom one missionary had described as "tigers". Preventing them from killing each other proved more than challenging. A little native girl joined them to form what Granny dubbed "the terrible trio". Trials & tribulations abounded, but the kids learned to read & love the teacher. Relationships with missionaries & nationals were mostly rewarding. One exception: an aging volunteer whom missionaries had targeted as just the right man for Granny. Getting to & from the field was exciting, robbed by cab drivers in Hong Kong; rescued by two "angels". Amusing & poignant anecdotes. Quantity discounts available. Order from Seedsowers Press, P.O.
