SUMMARY

Jason Shinder was born in Brooklyn, NY in 1955. His first book of poems, Every Room We Ever Slept In, was a New York Public Library Noted book and his second collection, Among Women, was published in 2001. He is the editor of several anthologies, most recently Tales from the Couch: Writers on Therapy, Best American Movie Writing, and The Poem That Changed America: "Howl" Fifty Years Later. Shinder teaches in the graduate writing programs at Bennington College and the New School University.
