In 1968, a Catholic priest was murdered and mutilated in what appeared to be a Black Mass. His blood was used to scribe the letters E-L-I-Z-O-P-H-I-A-L on the wall in the chapel. Thirty-five years later, Lucas Cross is just out of high school and preparing for the rest of his life when he stumbles across the personal stories of three individuals claiming to have had an experience with a paranormal phenomenon known only as "Elizophial."
