Dialogue And Antithesis A Philosophical Study on the Significance of Herman Dooyeweerd's Transcendental Critique

The Reverend Dr. Yong-Joon Choi was born in South Korea on November 4, 1961. He received his Bachelors of Arts degree in Social Welfare with a minor in Sociology from Seoul National University in 1983. For three years, Rev. Dr. Choi served the South Korean Military as a translator. Thereafter, he pursued his Master of Divinity degree at Westminister Theological Seminary in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA, and received the degree in 1989. Rev. Dr. Choi then pursued advanced studies in Christian Philosophy at the Free University of Amsterdam in the Netherlands and received his Doctorandus degree in 1993. Thereafter, he pursued his Ph.D. degree in the Faculty of Philosophy at Potchefstroom University for Christian Higher Education in South Africa, focusing on the Philosophy of Culture, and received his Ph.D. in 2000. Currently, Rev. Dr. Choi is a Visiting Professor of Vancouver Institute for Evangelical Worldview. Besides his academic and intellectual pursuits, Rev. Dr. Choi has been very active in Christian ministry. He served as the College Pastor at the First Korean Presbyterian Church of Philadelphia. And he has served as the Education Pastor at the Korean Reformed Church in the Netherlands. In 1995, he was ordained as a clergy in the Korean Presbyterian Church in Europe (a Korean denomination). Since 1999, Rev. Dr. Choi has been serving Hanbit Korean Church in Cologne, Germany, as the Senior Pastor. Rev. Dr. Choi is married to Misun and has three sons – Yohan, Joseph, and Joel.
