This book consists of the proceedings of an International conference on 'European Law in Context: Constitutional Dimensions of the European Economic Integration', held at the European University Institute in Florence on 1415 April 1994. The conference had two purposes. Its first purpose was to begin to take stock of research already done and then to develop further the study of European Union Law in its social, political, cultural and economic contexts.
