Maybe I should have done this later because I can't remember much. All the names, Super, Kru...are a jumble in my head. One thing I do remember is considering one's culture when counseling for career choices. I think sometime we forget that people have different belief systems and expect to respond how we would. Certain cultures have expectations for their children and they should follow through with that career choice whether the client wants it or not. I don't want to be a counselor that would cause unnecessary family issues because I think they should follow their heart. I want to encourage my client to do what is best for the situation and offer options and/or coping mechanisms.

The class was Career counseling, and basically it informed students of the various assessments, techniques, and theories used in career counseling. Career counseling isn't just about college placement, it's so much more than that and can embody other forms of counseling as well.
