William Taylor was born on a ranch in Zimbabwe and grew up with a deep fascination and love for African wildlife. While completing Honours and Masters degrees in Zoology at the University of Natal, Pietermaritzburg, he was awarded the Beit Fellowship, and was involved in research projects throughout southern Africa. After leaving university he joined Mala Mala Game Reserve and while senior ranger there he and Gerald produced their first book together and began filming their first wildlife special "Royal Blood". He has produced, written and directed many award-winning wildlife films. William divides his time between Dallas, Texas and the African bush and is actively involved in wildlife conservation internationally. After nearly thirty years as the managing director of a large family motor business, Gerald Hinde shed his business cares in 1989 and took up his first love: life in the African bush. As a highly skilled wildlife photographer he had produced and published his first book while still in the motor business in 1989. His passion became his career and he was soon spending months at a time in the bush, producing three books and later four wildlife documentaries that all received numerous awards. Gerald was overall winner of the AGFA Wildlife and Environment Awards in 2000 Richard du Toit obtained a BSc Honours degree in Zoology and Entomology, and his increasing interest in wildlife photography developed into a professional career in 1995.
