The Thomas L. Saaty Prize for Applied Advances in the Mathematical and Management Sciences, and The Jacob Wolfowitz Prize for Theoretical Advances in the Mathematical and Management Sciences, were established to recognize and encourage high quality work in these fields. The Prizes are awarded annually to papers selected, by a process involving an international panel of distinguished judges, from the previous year's volume of the American Journal of Mathematical and Management Sciences. The Prizes awarded for papers in Volume 23 (2006) represent the 26th Anniversary Prizes, and as always consist of a monetary award and suitably engraved certificate with announcement made widely in the worldwide community of scholars. For this Jubilee of the Prizes, Prize winners have prepared new cutting-edge work on their interests (for a full list of Winners see Modern Mathematical, Management, and Statistical Sciences, Vol. 42 of the American Series in Mathematical and Management Sciences (ISBN 0-935950-46-X, LC 00-131646) and recent issues of the American Journal of Mathematical and Management Sciences). Select other papers highlight advances in areas pioneered by J. Wolfowitz. This has yielded volume of papers by best of the best researchers and practitioners worldwide.Dudewicz, Edward J. is the author of '25th Anniversary of the Thomas L. Saaty and Jacob Wolfowitz Prizes : New Advances and Applications by Prize Winners', published 2006 under ISBN 9780935950588 and ISBN 0935950583.
