Mr. Lufkin is a principal and senior economist with Whitestone Research Corporation. Mr Lufkin's 18 years of experience includes both research and consulting in regional economics, facility finance, and Defense-related issues. Mr. Lufkin directed development of the MARS commercial software for facility maintenance cost forecasting, and is also co-author of the annual Whitestone Building Maintenance and Repair Cost Reference. Recently completed projects include a statistical review of the Air Force Physical Plant Index (PPI), a benchmark study of M&R costs for Army Medical Command, development of a life-cycle cost forecast system for the Federal Aviation Agency, a study of the national employment impacts of military base closures and realignments (BRAC), and a methodological review of Department of Defense housing (MFH) requirement models. Mr. Lufkin has authored or co-authored over 90 technical reports, conference papers, and publications.
