Grillius Uberlieferung, Kommentar

Cicero's De inventione--known as Rhetorica in classical antiquity--was the most frequently used rhetoric textbook in the Ancient World and the Middle Ages. The first edition of Grillius' commentary--which had survived only in parts--was published by J. Martin in 1927. This new edition is based on the first critical review of both direct and indirect records. Each page presents the reader with numerous hitherto unknown or ignored versions.
