Published to coincide with an exhibition at Open Eye Gallery in Liverpool, "Women on the Waterfront" combines essays, first-person accounts, and stunning photographic images to tell the story of the twentieth-century women who worked, and continue to work, in and around the city's waterfront--or who abandoned urban life to earn a living at sea.
