Andreacute;e Eva Bosch was born in 1952 in Mpumalanga, she went on to major in English and Afrikaans at the University of Stellenbosch and UNISA. Andreacute;e spent 10 fulfilling years as a journalist for several newspapers, after which she wrote freelance for various magazines. She is currently a partner in a furniture manufacturing company and considers her role as a mother, an occupation. She wrote her father's biography, Esias Bosch (Struik Winchester 1988), a celebrated SA potter.
