Janet Brice Parker grew up in Alabama where she received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. After a prolific career in painting, she began to paint with words. She drew on her experiences of growing up in the south in the nineteen fifties and sixties. She has been published by Jimmy Buffett, Trouvere Company Writer’s Gazette, The Blount Countain, Kota Press, Kudzu Monthly, Authorsden, and was a featured poet in Lucidity magazine.
