Suzuran High School is in midst of the freshmen war/tournament with eight guys left in including Hana Tsukishima and cold blooded, Shigeru Amachi who has no respect for anyone, including his upperclassmen. Instead of proceeding with the tournament, Shigeru swiftly defeats the remaining contenders on his own, leading to a one-on-one battle with Hana. Surprisingly, the fight is over in a blink of an eye, with Hana claiming the championship. However, Hana instinctively knows that him and Shigeru are just about equal strength and that the two will be facing each other in the future for a fierce battle.
