Student Portfolios: A Learning Tool

Phyllis Lightfoot has a wide range of educational experience that spans 25 years. This consists of administration and teaching assignments at all elementary grades including classroom teacher, learning assistance, English as a Second Language, teacher-librarian, enrichment, and physical education. Her credentials include a Master of Arts in Education degree (curriculum and instruction). Phyllis has also been directly involved in the design and implementation of curriculum, instruction, and assessment practices at the classroom, school, and district-wide levels. Writing a book and giving workshops on portfolios comes from her desire to provide teachers with assessment for learning techniques that enhance the teaching and learning process.
