Report on the Comm.'s meetings & symposia in Brussels, Belgium, & Prague, Czech Republic, from Nov. 29-Dec. 3, 2004. These discussions gave the Comm. the opportunity to examine European perspectives on the EU's growing commercial & security relations with China. The Comm. delegation met with over 65 European officials & experts in these 2 cities & hosted 2 public symposia. The Comm. heard from a broad range of experts from Europe's think-tanks, universities, companies & labor groups as well as representatives of EU member countries & European officials from the major EU governing bodies.
