Nicola Williams lives in Lyon, crossroads to the Alps and the Mediterranean. A journalist by training, she hit the road a decade ago when she bussed and boated it from Jakarta to East Timor and back again. Following a two-year stint at the North Wales Weekly News, she moved to Latvia to bus it round the Baltics as Features Editor of the English-language Baltic Times newspaper. Following a happy 12 months writing and editing prose for the In Your Pocket city guide series, she traded in Lithuanian cepelinai for Lyonnaise andouillette. Nicola graduated from Kent and did an MA in Islamic Societies and Cultures at London's School of Oriental and African Studies.
