Sons and Lovers

This semi-autobiographical novel tells the story of Paul a young artist. The story deals with family, social class and romance in a mining community. A young girl from a higher class meets and falls in love with a miner. She soon realizes the difficulties of living within her means. Her husband starts visiting the pub and she puts her energy into her sons.
