Trevor Price is professor of Biology at the University of Chicago. He studies the roles of sexual selection and natural selection in speciation. His research is driven by field work, but is usually complemented by laboratory work and/or theoretical studies. Most of his field work is carried out in India on a single genus of birds, the Phylloscopus warblers. He has been working on this group as a model for the way by which speciation occurs on continents.
