Marc Auge is director of L'Ecole des Hautes Etudes en Sciences Sociales, Paris. He is the author of numerous books, most notably In the Metro (Minnesota, 2002) and Non-places: Introduction to an Anthropology of Supermodernity Marjolijn De Jager translates from French and Dutch, and was also the translator of V. Y. Mudimbe's The Rift (Minnesota, 1993). She teaches literary translation at New York University James E. Young is professor of Judaic and Near Eastern studies at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. He is the author, most recently, of At Memory's Edge, and he served as a World Trade Center memorial jurorAuge, Marc is the author of 'Oblivion', published 2004 under ISBN 9780816635672 and ISBN 0816635676.
