Urban Regeneration in the UK

The regeneration of the economies and societies of urban areas in the UK and around the world has become an increasingly important issue amongst governments, populations and interested researchers. This growing concern has been a result of the negative impacts of the decline of cities since the collapse of manufacturing industry and the loss of employment and populations from urban areas. A range of approaches to tackle this problem have been taken over many decades to attempt to regenerate towns and cities throughout the UK.This book places the historical and contemporary regeneration agenda in context.
