Drew Williams became a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in July 1982 while serving as a U.S. Navy journalist aboard the aircraft carrier USS Coral Sea, stationed in Oakland, California. Since then he has held many responsibilities in the LDS Church, including local priesthood leader and instructor for nearly 17 years, and teacher of LDS doctrine to both youth and adults for almost 20 years. In 1984, Drew moved to Utah where he obtained a degree in communications at Brigham Young University. In 1985, Drew married Carol Lynch, and writing became part of the couple's lives. Drew pursued various technical writing positions with such companies as WordPerfect and the Eaton Corporation, and later became adjunct instructor of English Composition at Utah Valley State College. His wife is an acclaimed author of more than 20 novels for children and young adults (www.carollynchwilliams.com).
