Cracow Pontifical

The text is a redaction of the Romano-German Pontifical (a work compiled at Mainz in the mid-10th century which enjoyed awide circulation during the middle ages and ultimately served as the basis for the modern Roman Pontifical); it is preserved as Cracow, Jagiellonian Library 2057, a manuscript possibly written at Tyniec in the late 11th century, and is one of the earliest and the most important witnesses to the establishment of the Catholic Church in Poland.
