Edvard Grieg and His Songs

Sandra Jarrett, descended from Norwegian seafarers, schooled at Harvard University in the German language and at Longy School of Music in the language of singing, driven by the longing to see other lands and people, left America for Europe to work as an opera soloist. Eventually drawn to the land of her forebears, she settled for a time as a Norwegian wife and mother, and along the way discovered the many songs of Edvard Grieg.
