This report presents the finding of engineers from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and the Structural Engineering Institute of the American Society of Civil Engineers (SEI/ASCE), in association with New York City and several other federal agencies and professional organizations who studied the performance of buildings at the WTC site. The purpose of this study was to examine the damage caused by the events of September 11, 2001, collect data, develop an understanding of the response of each affected building, identify the causes of observed behavior, and identify studies that should be performed. Recommendations are presented for more detailed engineering studies, to complete the assessments and produce improved guidance and tools for building design and performance evaluation.McAllister, Therese is the author of 'World Trade Center Building Performance Study Data Collection, Preliminary Observations, and Recommendations' with ISBN 9780756723705 and ISBN 0756723701.
