This book aims to provide an informative comprehensive mono- graph of Anthostomella and related genera. In this book a world monograph of the genus is presented. More than 2600 specimens of Anthostomella from 35 herbaria have been examined, including the types of most described taxa and representives of similar genera. Eighty-six species of Anthostomella and a synoptic diagram of these species are presented. Descriptions and illustrations for all accepted species are provided. One hundred and five species have been excluded and placed in other genera. These excluded species are listed with notes. Sixty-five species are regarded as doubtful as material is depauperate or was untraceable. Nineteen genera are regarded as similar to Anthostomella, which are described and illustrated. A key to the similiar genera and a synoptic diagram are also provided.Lu, Bingsheng is the author of 'World Monograph of Anthostomella', published 2000 under ISBN 9789628567775 and ISBN 9628567772.
