I am a woman 66 years of age that has raised her family. I have lost a good husband and father to my children, grandfather to grandchildren, great-grandfather to six great grandkids. I have live in and around Houston Texas most of my married life. Galveston is were we raised our children and they were born there. My husband was a shrimper and he made a good living then. He died March 6, 2001, I am now living with my friend. I do have a home in Holiday Lakes that my husband got for me just before he died. It is over five years old now. It has two-bedroom and it is build for a handicapped person. So I let my granddaughter and her parents live there, so she has use of the house, she is handicapped with cerebral palsy and epilepsy. He was sick along time and before he died of cancer of the lungs he was sick for 21 years. I am 5’ 4” tall and I am a little over weight. I was married 47 years to this man. Had a good life with him. I have been trying to get this story published for a long time now. I have other stories too that I am writing.
