Trade Unions and Democratization in Africa

Jon Kraus is Emeritus Professor at State University of New York Fredonia. He has engaged in research in West Africa since the 1960s and in the Middle East in the early 1990s. In contributions to some twenty books and as many articles, he has written on Africa's authoritarian regimes, political democracy, trade unions, debates on development, and the power of capital. He recently edited and contributed to Transformed by Crisis: The Presidency of George W.
