Margaret A. Rees held a Dudin Brown Open Scholarship at Westfield College, London University, and after studying there for her M.A. and her Ph.D., took up a Leverhulme Fellowship and then a teaching post in Liverpool University. As Senior Lecturer at Trinity and All Saints University College she was general editor of Leeds Iberian Papers, also publishing four books, with a fifth in the press.
