The Spiral Staircase of Life is a book of poetry dealing with Jorge's years of depression, alcoholism and relationships with his family, friends, strangers and lovers. He also writes his interpretations of people and their interactions with the world. It is a poetic trip into the mind of an average man in an urban environment. We see his struggles with drugs, alcohol, people and all the inner demons that go with these situations. The book is divided into three chapters.
