Pumping Principles Course

Review of pump operation, starting with hydraulic fundamentals and advancing to the electrical power and other related components of pumping water. The student will develop an understanding of the engineering science pertaining to liquid pressure, flow and pumping dynamics'. This course will cover the basics of hydraulic fundamentals commonly related to the study of the mechanical properties of water. This course will also examine hydrostatics or fluid mechanics as well as the history and development of pumps, hydraulics and the science of fluids. This training course will present several familiar topics in pumping along with hydraulics and hydrostatics that often appear in most educational expositions of introductory science, and which are also of historical interest and can enliven a student's educational experience.
