BRUCE D. ITULE is an editor and writer. For nearly two decades, he was director of student media at Arizona State University, where he is also a clinical professor in the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Telecommunication. He also is a visiting professor of journalism at Penn State University. Mr. Itule has taught reporting and depth reporting to two generations of students. He also has been night city editor of the Chicago Tribune. He has been a reporter or copy editor at the Arizona Daily Star in Tucson, The Phoenix (Ariz.) Gazette, the Boulder (Colo.) Daily Camera, The Denver Post and the Minneapolis Star. He earned his bachelor's degree in journalism at the University of Arizona and a master's degree in journalism at the University of Colorado. He is the coauthor of Contemporary News Reporting, News Writing and Reporting for Today's Media, Writing the News and Visual Editing.
