Frederick G. Meyer, retired Supervisory Botanist in charge of the Herbarium at the U.S. National Arboretum, Washington, D.C., has collected plants in Pompeii, Ethiopia, Japan, southwestern Europe, and throughout the United States. He was awarded the prestigious Frank A.
