Medical Readiness in Humanitarian and Civic Assistance Missions : Significance of Cultural Training for Nurses

Medical Readiness is of particular interest to the United States military since Congress reviewed the readiness of the medical forces after the Gulf War. Many different types of training must occur for our military forces to prepare for any type of deployment, ranging from specific technical skills to security briefings and sanitation practices at the units final base of deployment.
