Matthew Hilger is from Atlanta, Georgia. He received his Bachelor's degree in Finance from the University of Georgia in 1989. Matthew's live tournament accomplishments include winning the 2002 New Zealand Poker Championship and he finished 33rd out of 2576 entrants in the 2004 World Series Main Event taking home a prize of $80,000 in his first World Series. Matthew now devotes a lot of his working time to his website and poker forum at www.InternetTexasHoldem.com where he answers questions about his book and general poker strategy. He also hosts online tournaments where players can win stakes to his live tournament earnings. Matthew's other interests outside of poker include composing on the piano and traveling.
