History Makers Interviews

Fred Schultz began his magazine editing career in 1980 in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, where he served in various editorial capacities with American History Illustrated, British Heritage, Civil War Times Illustrated, and Country Journal. He joined the staff of the U.S. Naval Institute in 1989 as associate editor of Naval History and Proceedings magazines and became editor-in-chief of Naval History in 1993. His work, totaling some eighty articles and interviews, has appeared in numerous publications, including The Chicago Tribune, Bluegrass Unlimited, and Maryland magazine, among others.
