Kelley G. Shaver, is Professor of Psychology, College of William and Mary. For over 25 years his research has examined how people attribute causality, responsibility, and blame. These processes are discussed in detail in his book, The Attribution of Blame: Causality, Responsibility, and Blameworthiness (1985). In the last 10 years he has been applying attribution principles to entrepreneurial persistence, most recently as part of the Entrepreneurial Research Consortium.
