He has been awarded the Victoria Medal of Honor, and the Veitch Memorial Medal of the Royal Horticultural Society, as well as their Gold Medal for his paintings and drawings, and the Dean Hole Medal of the Royal National Rose Society, of which he is Vice Patron.
