THE GEMINI CODE II, the third book in the "JB Series" (JB=Jose's Basket), takes place in the 1990's. Jose & his wife Alicia, a banking executive, have twin ten year-old sons, Hector & Luis. A favorite hobby of theirs is to play computer games, each trying to outsmart the other with new codes for different games. Alicia & Jose, who are now successful authors, are delighted with this shared interest. When Hector, the first-born twin, lost his hearing at the age of two because of a severe ear infection, the ability to communicate by computer, in addition to sign language, contributed to the closeness of the brothers & their parents. Little does anyone realize just how important this computer knowledge will be. Luis gets trapped on the other side of an arroyo filled with rushing water during a flash flood.
