Reid Bramblett is the author of Frommer's Tuscany and Umbria, Frommer's Northern Italy, and Europe For Dummies, as well as coauthor of Frommer's Italy from $70 a Day. He also helped found guidebookwriters.com. When not on the road, he splits his time between his native Philadelphia and Columbia, Missouri. Londoner Richard Jones, author of Frommer's Memorable Walks in London, has been devising tours of Britain since 1982. He is the author of Walking Haunted London, Haunted Britain and Ireland, Myths and Legends of Britain and Ireland, and Walking Dickensian London. A regular contributor to programs on the Discovery, History, Mystery, and Travel channels, he was recently featured in the documentary The Making of From Hell, providing analysis of the infamous Jack the Ripper murders. He also wrote and presented the drama-documentaries Shakespeare in London (1999). Suzanne Rowan Kelleher is a travel writer and the former Europe editor of Travel Holiday magazine. She has traveled extensively in Ireland, is married to an Irishman, and currently lives in County Dublin. She is the author of Frommer's Ireland. All four of Joseph S. Lieber's grandparents emigrated from Eastern Europe at the turn of the 20th century, settling in New York City, where he was born and raised. Mr. Lieber lived in Hungary for several years in the early 1990s. He presently practices law in Boston and is the coauthor of Frommer's Budapest and the Best of Hungary and Frommer's Europe. Herbert Bailey Livesey is a native New Yorker. After an early career as a university administrator, he decided to devote himself to writing full time. He's the author or coauthor of 10 travel guides (including Frommer's New England, Frommer's Canada, and Frommer's Montreal and Quebec City), a novel about deep-sea sportfishing, and several books on education and sociology. His articles have appeared in Travel and Leisure, Food and Wine, and Playboy. Sherry Marker's love of Greece began when she majored in classical Greek at Harvard. She has attended the American School of Classical Studies in Athens and studied ancient history at the University of California at Berkeley. Author or coauthor of a number of guides to Greece (such as Frommer's Greece and Frommer's Greek Islands), she has published articles in the New York Times, Travel and Leisure, and Hampshire Life. She's also the coauthor of Frommer's Europe and has written books on a variety of subjects, including a history of London for young adults. Hana Mastrini, a native of the western Czech spa town of Karlovy Vary, became a veteran of the "Velvet Revolution" as a student in Prague in 1989. She began contributing to Frommer's guides while helping her husband, John, better understand his new home in the Czech Republic. George McDonald has lived and worked in both Amsterdam and Brussels, as deputy editor of the KLM in-flight magazine and as editor-in-chief of the Sabena in-flight magazine. Now a freelance journalist and travel writer, he has written extensively on both the Netherlands and Belgium for magazines and guidebooks. He's the author of Frommer's Amsterdam, Frommer's Brussels, Bruges, Ghent and Antwerp, and Frommer's Belgium, Holland and Luxembourg. Haas Mroue is a freelance travel writer who grew up spending summers in the South of France. He lived in Paris while studying at the American University, then returned to the States to graduate from the UCLA Film School. His articles, poems, and short stories have been widely published, and he's coauthor of Frommer's Gay and Lesbian Europe and author of Frommer's Memorable Walks in Paris. When not on the road, he lives on the beach in Port Townsend, Washington. Cheryl A. Pientka is a freelance journalist. She is the author of Paris For Dummies and coauthor of Frommer's Paris from $80 a Day and France For Dummies. A graduate of Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism and the University of Delaware, she splits her time between New York and Paris. As a team of veteran travel writers, Darwin Porter and Danforth Prince have produced numerous titles for Frommer's, including bestselling guides to Italy, France, the Caribbean, England, and Germany. Porter, a former bureau chief of The Miami Herald, is also a Hollywood biographer-his most recent releases include The Secret Life of Humphrey Bogart and Katharine the Great, the latter a close-up of the private life of the late Katharine Hepburn. Prince was formerly employed by the Paris bureau of the New York Times, and is today the president of Blood Moon Productions and other media-related firms. Beth Reiber lived for 4 years in Germany and 3 years in Japan, selling travel articles to the Los Angeles Times, Chicago Tribune, Washington Post, and many other publications. Now residing in Lawrence, Kansas, she's the author of Frommer's Japan, Frommer's Tokyo, and Frommer's Hong Kong, and is a contributor to Frommer's USA. Sascha Segan, a freelance writer, is a columnist on air travel and destinations for Frommers.com. He also wrote Frommer's Fly Safe, Fly Smart and the Spain chapter for Frommer's Europe 2005, and contributed to many of the 2004 Frommer's guides. In his spare time, he writes about gadgets for technology magazines. He lives in New York City. Christina Shea, a native of Hartford, Connecticut, served as a Peace Corps volunteer in Hungary and subsequently directed Peace Corps language-training programs in Lithuania and Kyrghyzstan.
