SUMMARY

My name is Jamey W. Blake. I am the son of Billy D. Blake and Charlotte Goodwin. I have two sisters, Rose Robertson and Terrie Jo Clary. I have six beautiful children: Ashley, Quinn, Kaitlin, Summer, James and Whitney. I started writing poetry from the age of six. I grew up in a small town community of Edina and Memphis, Missouri, in the heartland of the United States. I started driving trucks at the age of eighteen. I did this for twenty years and had many experiences in this profession and my poetry reflects some of these experiences. Seeing people, places and things has changed my life. From being a boy to becoming a man, I have written and still write about the heartbreaks and adventures I have seen and lived through. William Blake, an ancestor of mine, has inspired me all of my life with his great writings of poetry and philosophy as well as his wonderful paintings. So in closing I will give you a quote that I truly believe: I believe that poetry once written and once lived is a healing of one’s soul.”Blake, Jamey W. is the author of 'Forever Poetry', published 2007 under ISBN 9781424166428 and ISBN 142416642X.
