Kitty Broihier, MS, RD, is the president of NutriComm, a food and nutrition communications consulting company serving food companies and public relations firms. Ms. Broihier is coauthor of The Everything Vitamins, Minerals, and Nutritional Supplements Book (Adams Media, 2001), and The Everyday Low-Carb Slow Cooker Cookbook (Marlowe and Co., 2004). Previously an editor at Good Housekeeping magazine, Ms. Broihier is the author of many magazine articles and contributes regularly to a variety of publications, including Parenting, Shape, Cooking Light, Health, Environmental Nutrition newsletter, and Weight Watchers Magazine. A registered dietitian, Ms. Broihier received a bachelor's of science degree in dietetics from Michigan State University, and a master's of science degree in Nutrition Communications from Boston University. She is a member of the American Dietetic Association, and is a founding member of the ADA's Food and Culinary Professionals practice group.
