Several reports have been issued highlighting billions of dollars of overpay. to Defense contractors by the DoD. In Dec. 2001, the Congress required a Federal agency with contracts totaling over $500 mill. in a FY to have a program for identifying payment errors & for recovering amounts erroneously paid to contractors.
