Denny had a Mother that really loved and cared for him, but his Father was a drunk and a wife beater. He spent many hours hiding and listening to his drunken Father beating his Mother. When his Mother died, Denny ran away from home. He went into another state, where he found a special place for him to sleep. It was down in the thicket. Denny met and liked a lady that owned her own store. She liked him also, and she allowed him to do some work for her. Her name was Ms Manning, but later Denny began to call her Mom Manning. When she became ill Denny stayed and took care of her, because she had no other relatives. Mom Manning saw to it that Denny got his education. He studied while down in the thicket, and passed two grades in a year. When Denny needed anything, he prayed and God provided. When Denny was seventeen years old Mom Manning died and left all she had to Denny. He later took in a little boy by the name of Freddie, and an older lady that had no place to live. Her name was Miss Trudy. Later God called him to preach. He pastored the church in Newberry and then was called to Pennsylvania to Pastor a church near where he grew up. He met a girl by the name of Caitlyn. And they were later married. He was able to get his Father saved before he died. Caitlyn went to heaven to live with Jesus, and Denny moved back to Newberry, where he later also went to heaven to live.Steele, Mildred is the author of 'Denny' with ISBN 9781418479398 and ISBN 141847939X.
