Benjamin Jacobs died on January 30, 2004. Born in the village of Dobra in 1919, as Berek Jakubowicz, Jacobs lost his father, mother, and sister in the Holocaust. Only he and his older brother Josek survived. Mr. Jacobs was convinced that he owed his survival to the possession of a few dental tools and his rudimentary skills. After World War II, in 1949, Jacobs and his brother emigrated to the United States. He acted as a sales representative for an electronics firm until he established his own business with his father-in-law and brother. After the death of his brother in 1965, he sold the company and continued to work in business until he retired in 1987. Mr. Jacobs returned to Germany in 1950 and married Else Teichmann-also a Holocaust survivor Eugene Pool is Chair of the English Department at The Winsor School in BostonJacobs, Benjamin is the author of '100-Year Secret Britain's Hidden WWII Massacre', published 2004 under ISBN 9781592285327 and ISBN 1592285325.
