Summary: Lieutenant Bob Penelli and his cousin, Jerry, have just completed a top secret research project for the United States Air Force. They have created the CX-3, a laser cannon that is one of the most powerful weapons in the world. The CX-3 is not just an ordinary instrument of destruction. Like Hal in 2001: A Space Odyssey, CX-3 is a sentient entity that communicates with Bob—and only Bob has the capability to access CX-...3’s potential for destruction. When we first meet Bob, he is en route to his Wyoming hometown to be reunited with his fiancee, Linda Sanchez. However, Bob’s long anticipated family reunion is short lived. Soon the President of the United States will summon Bob in order to utilize the potential of CX-3. What Bob does not know is that the President has made a pact with an evil sorcerer, and soon CX-3 will be at the center of a struggle for universal domination. However, no one can use the CX-3 without Bob’s cooperation. That fact will put Linda and the President in peril, when they are taken hostage and transported to another planet to force Bob’s collaboration. [read more]
